Forget cancel culture. My actual culture is being cancelled. What could this possibly mean? It means that my country’s name, identity and history have been forcibly changed — by the United States — in order to appease our oppressors. What could THIS possibly mean? It means that our two biggest oppressors...
A lot of Democratic Party voters don’t know what is happening in Macedonia, but the Democratic Party does — because they orchestrated it. And the Republican Party fully endorses it. Why? What they're really telling me is that my ethnic group is lesser than theirs.

The Civic Solidarity Platform (CSP) calls on the Bulgarian government as well as on local and regional authorities to ensure respect and recognition for the Macedonian minority in the country and to prevent any attempt of violation or unduly restriction of the freedom of association, such as the announced deregistration of a minority human rights organization.

The leader of a new Macedonian political party was texting me in the middle of the night recently, giving me updates on her spokeswoman's surgery to repair two broken legs, suffered at the hands of riot police earlier that night. Her crime? Attending a peaceful protest against changing Macedonia's name and identity.
