Have you experienced anti-Macedonian hate? Sadly, the answer is yes. All Macedonians have. But Macedonian Human Rights Movement International is taking action. Report an incident now.
The opposition coalition submitted the no-confidence motion, with 61 signatures, on November 8, 2021. The Zaev regime quickly moved to target MPs in the opposition and ultimately abducted Rexhepi, who was prevented from appearing in the November 11 parliamentary session. He was unable to be located or reached, resulting in a frantic search, and amid calls to police and condemnation of the Zaev regime by Besa, VMRO-DPMNE, Levica and other parties in the opposition coalition. A cryptic message was later posted on Rexhepi's Facebook page, followed by a scripted video posted several hours later - all fueling concern for his well-being.
International human rights treaties, examined below, dictate that signatories must immediately defend Macedonia and Macedonians - specifically against the brutal crackdown on human rights committed by the Zaev regime, the exponential rise in hate crimes against Macedonians throughout the Balkans, and the instigator of these human rights violations - the shocking Western-supported/initiated forced Macedonia name change.
The European Free Alliance (EFA) continued its strong support of human rights for Macedonians by issuing the declaration below, adopted at its General Assembly of October 14-16, 2021 in Brussels. EFA exposes Bulgaria and Greece for its systematic discrimination against Macedonians and highlights the European Union's own protocols which mandate it to take immediate action to end these human rights abuses.
Go to our ACTION ALERT and instantly send an email to Canadian political leaders and election candidates. Tell them that they will lose the Macedonian-Canadian vote unless they denounce the forced name change FIRST.
Longtime supporter of Macedonian Human Rights Movement International, Mincho Tashev, has continued his tremendous assistance of Macedonian human rights initiatives by donating $30,000 in support of Macedonian political prisoners and their families. MHRMI will also bring the case of the political prisoners to the European Court of Human Rights, and are investigating other legal avenues, in order to secure their immediate release.
One day after approving the registration of the Krste Misirkov Organization, Greece abruptly reversed its decision and cancelled it, citing “problems with the legal representative of the NPO and his repeated issues with the Greek justice system”. The person they are referring to is Father Nikodim Tsarknias, who only has problems with the Greek justice system because they have made it illegal to declare oneself as Macedonian and to seek human and minority rights for Macedonians.
ATTENTION MACEDONIAN-CANADIANS:
The 2021 Canadian Census is contributing to discrimination against Macedonians - make sure that the Canadian government knows that you are MACEDONIAN from MACEDONIA, no matter which part of partitioned Macedonia you come from.
Macedonian Human Rights Movement International President, Bill Nicholov, met with Annie Lagueux, Director of Policy for Foreign Minister Marc Garneau, and called for Canada to immediately reverse its ill-advised support of the forced name change of the Republic of Macedonia and to condemn the Zoran Zaev regime for its continued abuse of Macedonians' human rights.
Macedonian Human Rights Movement International applauds the Krste Misirkov Organization for its tireless commitment in providing private Macedonian language classes in Aegean Macedonia (annexed by Greece after Macedonia's partition in 1912/13) and demanding that Greece fulfill its international obligations in providing minority language education.
