The "MHRMI Week" PosterMacedonian Human Rights Movement International (MHRMI) - Press Release
Toronto, Canada - Macedonian Human Rights Movement International (MHRMI) is pleased to announce MHRMI Macedonian Human Rights Week, June 14-21, 2009. We will be honouring the President of EBLUL and a member of Vinozhito, Nase Parisis, as well as a member of OMO "Ilinden" - PIRIN, Stoyan Georgiev.
Events will be held all week throughout various cities in North America, culminating with a fundraiser on Sunday, June 21 at 12:30pm at St. Clement of Ohrid Macedonian Orthodox Cathedral in Toronto. Lunch will be served and the honoured guests and MHRMI will give an update on the current human rights situation of Macedonians in the Balkans. Admission is $20. Donations of $100 or more will be issued a charitable tax receipt.
MHRMI envisions a future where Macedonians, specifically in Greece, Bulgaria, Albania, Serbia and Kosovo, are officially recognized and can enjoy the most basic of human rights such as freedom of speech, freedom of worship, and respect for their right to self-identification as Macedonians.
MHRMI works directly with all Macedonian human rights organizations in the Balkans and provides vital financial and logistical support for their activities. The Macedonian communities of the world are organized, energized and determined to pursue their struggle for universal human rights.
The biggest challenge we face is a financial one. Macedonian Human Rights Movement International needs your support so that we may continue to assist Macedonians in their struggle for human rights.
Please show your support by attending our Fundraiser for Human Rights and consider giving a monthly, annual or one-time donation by visiting www.mhrmi.org/donation.asp.
