Before Condemning Murder, Make Sure You’re Not a Serial Killer
A sentiment that is ignored by Western politicians because they know that the Western public is too lazy, stupid, or callous to hold them accountable.
Politicians decry the murder of one civilian (when it suits their narrative) while they murder 1,000. They decry the racist hatred of Nazis while funding and enabling Nazis. And they condemn condemnation of genocide.
Yes, you read that right.
They don't condemn genocide because they're committing it. But they do condemn, cancel, and incarcerate those who condemn it while they claim to defend international law and the rules-based order.
In the United Kingdom, protesters are being arrested for opposing Israel's genocide in Palestine. The pretext? Declare a Palestinian organization, namely Palestine Action, a "terrorist organization" (for opposing genocide), ergo, anyone protesting this designation and opposing genocide is arrested for supporting terrorism.
In the United States, there is a huge uproar about the tragic killing of an American civilian in Minneapolis by a Trump administration ICE agent (with this sentiment taking centre stage at the recent Golden Globes) while hundreds of thousands of Palestinian civilians have been slaughtered by the U.S. and Israel.
Do you know what’s more tragic than the murder of one person? The mass murder of hundreds of thousands, especially when committed by self-righteous Americans, both Democrat and Republican.
Democratic Party supporters, though, would rather ignore their party's central role in mass murder (the current Gaza genocide began under the Biden/Harris administration) because it is more important to them to condemn Trump for every trivial statement he makes, but not for his role in continuing the Gaza genocide.
In Canada, counter-protesters feel like heroes for opposing a recent anti-immigration protest, but where were, and are, they to oppose Israel's genocide in Palestine?
And Western media is happy to oblige.
They decry a "massive Russian air strike" that killed no civilians in Ukraine but there is no condemnation of the daily Israeli bombing of Palestinian children and women waiting for aid that kills several hundred at a time.
There is mass uproar in Western media when someone spray-paints a message condemning Israel for committing genocide but the news story focuses on the graffiti being "anti-Semitic" and as a result, that "Jews now live in fear". But there is no sympathy for the fear that Palestinians have of getting annihilated and no sympathy for dead Palestinian babies.
And Western deadly hypocrisy spans the globe.
My ethnic group has also experienced the wide array of Western genocidal tactics including mass murder, forced expulsion, and brutal human rights violations.
I, too, am a target.
First, for being a Macedonian human rights activist and opposing U.S. policy of eradicating Macedonians — particularly through the U.S.-imposed name change into the highly derogatory “North Macedonia”, resulting in an explosion of human rights violations throughout partitioned Macedonia (which was forcibly divided in 1913 among Serbia [now the independent Republic of Macedonia], Bulgaria, Greece and, in 1919, Albania).
U.S. policy has also given carte blanche to these countries to expand their policies of eradication of Macedonians.
Among the U.S.’s retaliatory actions against me: Joe Biden signed an executive order banning me from entering the United States; the American “foreign aid” agency, USAID, funded attacks against me; the U.S.-installed regime in Macedonia, in particular, the prime minister and foreign minister, defamed me during multiple press conferences and television interviews; and U.S.-funded media published defamatory hit pieces about me.
Second, I am now very likely a target for being an outspoken advocate for Palestine.
Several European Union countries, the United Kingdom, Australia, and the United States, of course, have severely restricted public condemnation of Israel’s genocide of Palestinians, and have arrested several critics of Israel. Considering past U.S. action against me and my continued activism for Macedonia, and now, Palestine, further action against me is likely, and not just from the United States.
But are Western readers aware of their hypocrisy in selectively condemning certain actions while their governments – with their support – participate in others that are exponentially worse?
Only the most idiotic are not.
Western politicians and media are very well aware. But they also know that they can get away with it because the Western public is too lazy, stupid, or callous to hold them accountable.
