Regarding the incident, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia has sent a note of protest to the Liaison Office of the Republic of Greece in Skopje, requesting detailed information on the event, as well as on the measures that the Greek side has intention to undertake in order to investigate the event. The Liaison Office of the Republic of Macedonia in Athens has also sent a note of protest to the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, expressing a deep concern and amazement from the inadequate reaction of the Greek side. ...The Macedonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its regret that such violence of the cultural values of one friendly nation and country took place in the "cradle of democracy" and it expects an adequate reaction from the Greek side.
